IOC Intern in Boston Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Racial Equity

The Initiative on Cities, in partnership with the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground, is thrilled to introduce Boston University undergraduate student, Omolara “Lara” Adekeye, as our first intern in the Boston Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Racial Equity. Lara will be working with Chief Resilience Officer Dr. Atyia Martin to advance the office’s mission of strengthening social and economic resilience among City of Boston residents.

Lara is a rising junior majoring in African American Studies and Political Science. Her passion for social justice stems from her experience as a Cambridge, MA resident, her leadership in the African American Studies Center at Boston University, and more recently her experience working with the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts as a Racial Justice Intern. Lara is on the pre-law track at BU.
