Cristell Bacilio (she/her) is a sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences pursuing a BA in International Relations and Political Science from Dallas, Texas. With a strong interest in social justice and human rights, she hopes to give back to the communities she is a part of and is excited to learn from and work with the IOC.
Outside the IOC, as a Questbridge scholar attending BU on a full-ride scholarship, Cristell is highly involved with the BU community and advocacy. She is the Senior Editor of the Americas section for the International Relations Review, an international affairs journal published and run by undergraduate students at BU. She is also a member of the Latine Student Task Force, an initiative of the IMPACT committee as part of BU’s Student Government, which strives to improve the resources and experiences of the Latino community on campus. This past summer, she interned for a Texas-based non-profit organization, Children at Risk, helping their immigration team research topics such as immigration programs for students and issues affecting the immigrant community in the state.
In her free time, Cristell enjoy exploring the city of Boston, trying new foods, and making art!
