Information Session about How Federal Changes Are Enacted in Advance of a New Administration
ISSO hosted a virtual workshop to review how a new federal administration could enact changes to policies, procedures and regulations that may impact our international community. The session featured Elizabeth Goss, CEO and founding attorney of Goss Associates, a local immigration law firm as well as Stephen Kerr, Associate General Counsel in the Boston University Office of General Counsel. While it was still too soon to know if or when changes may be implemented, the session included a:
- review of relevant U.S. agencies involved in immigration practice
- overview of how changes are made at the federal level
- discussion as to what could transpire during a second Trump administration
