As an International Student Advisor, Chris Moca advises international students on the U.S. visa and immigration system. Chris first joined the ISSO as an International Student Advisor in 1998 and later moved into the inaugural SEVIS Specialist role. He left BU in 2013 to work at Endicott College as an International Student Services Advisor and rejoined the BU International Student Services Team in January 2024. He is thrilled to lend his student immigration expertise once again to the wonderfully diverse Boston University community.

A life-long resident of New England, Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and German from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and his Master of Education degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Boston University.

Chris had his first exchange experience as a high school student when he visited Nuremburg, Germany. While studying at UNH, Chris spent a semester abroad at Salzburg College in Austria and lived with a host family. He later worked in Japan for four months, teaching conversational English to university students.
