As an International Student Advisor, Emma Daugherty advises international students on the U.S. visa and immigration system. Prior to joining BU Global Programs, Emma worked as an Assistant International Student and Scholar Advisor at Northeastern University.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Stanford University. Emma moved to Boston to attend Lesley University, where she earned a Master of Arts in International Higher Education with a specialization in Intercultural Relations. She studied abroad in South Korea on a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship and later worked in Busan for one year as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. Emma enjoys learning about languages and cultures, and meeting people from all over the world.
