As an International Student Advisor, Peter Buschkopf advises international students on the U.S. visa and immigration system. Prior to joining BU Global Programs, Peter most recently served as Assistant International Student & Scholar Advisor at Northeastern University. Earlier in his career, he also worked as an International Student Advisor at Wisconsin International Academy and Massachusetts International Academy. He decided to enter the field of international education after having worked as an English language instructor in both China and Chile.

Peter first earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory & Composition from Wisconsin Lutheran College. After his career experience abroad, Peter completed a Master of Science in Global and International Education with a concentration in Higher Education from Drexel University.

Peter attended Spanish language courses in both Argentina and Uruguay. When traveling, Peter is particularly interested in exploring local musical and other artistic traditions.
