Hannah Starman on how Slovenia disowned its Jews, twice

Dr. Hannah Starman, fellow of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., lectured on Jewish citizenship and property rights in post-WWII Slovenia. Her lecture, “Expropriation and ‘Restitution’ of Jewish property in Slovenia: Legal Issues,” explored how legal instruments were used to designate and then confiscate Jewish property during the post-WWII era as well as the 1990’s.

The lecture took place December 1, at the BU Law School in Barristers Hall from 1-2 pm and was jointly organized by the BU Jewish Law Student association, the School of Law (Pnina Lahav), and sponored by  Elie Wiesel Center for Judaic Studies.
