A Look into the Elie Wiesel Center’s 2022 Open House

Open House 2021

On September 15, 2022, the Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies celebrated the start of the academic year with its annual Open House. Students had the opportunity to meet faculty and staff members, ask questions about the Center, and learn about the wide range of courses offered in Jewish Studies and Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies. In addition to learning about the Center’s courses and funding opportunities, students enjoyed a delicious Israeli lunch from Rami’s while connecting with their peers.

This event featured two brief talks by Professor Nancy Harrowitz, who celebrated the launch of the new HGHRS major, and Professor Ingrid Anderson, who spoke on “The World Culture of the Jews.” The Open House also offered a sneak peek into the fall semester’s events, including the highly anticipated Elie Wiesel Memorial Lecture Series.
