Dane is a Ph.D. student in the Graduate Program in Religion specializing in the religions of the ancient Mediterranean. His research centers around the material dimension of religion in the Roman empire, especially the role of the image, visuality, and tocuch in shaping religious practices in the eastern Mediterranean. Dane has a BA in Classics and Religious Studies from the College of the Holy Cross.
