Israel Institute Teaching Fellow

In Fall 2021, David Lehrer, the Executive Director of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies in Israel, will be joining the Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies faculty as the Israel Institute Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow. EWCJS is excited to have him on board for the academic year.

With a joint Master’s Degree in Management Science from Boston University and Ben Gurion University in Israel, Mr. Lehrer has worked as a business consultant for kibbutzim, or Israeli collective settlements, as well as small businesses. He has also worked for the Hevel Eilot Regional Council and the United Kibbutz Movement.

In 2001, Mr. Lehrer joined the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, an organization, dedicated to environmental studies and research, where students from across the globe participate in making change.
