Kilachand Student Events

Kilachand Co-Curricular Events

During their time at Kilachand, students engage in various co-curricular events that provide them with the opportunity to interact with committed, stimulating, and accomplished intellectuals, artists, and professionals. Co-curricular events engage students in the broader implications of the Kilachand curriculum and academic community and provide insight into the backstory of scientific, artistic, technological, and political activities.

All Kilachand students are required to attend two Co-Curricular Events each semester, even during semesters they are not enrolled in Kilachand coursework.

Kilachand Cafés

The monthly Kilachand Cafés are a central part of life at the College, allowing Kilachand students, faculty, and staff to come together for refreshments, informal conversation, and much-needed relaxation.

Chocolate Chats with Professor Holt

Professor Holt’s weekly open office hours are called “Chocolate Chats” because they will always feature chocolate (one of the great joys of the world) to share as we talk. Please stop by to introduce yourself, bring ideas or concerns about Kilachand, or suggest a topic of intellectual, personal, or ethical concern.

Study Breaks

Regular study breaks provide a time for students to unwind with friends, peer mentors, and student leaders. Study Breaks include fun activities like pumpkin decorating and wellness carnivals and always provide refreshments.

Kilachand Connects

Kilachand Hall RAs host regular Kilachand Connects events in the hall and include activities like movie nights and Super Bowl parties.

All events are listed on the Kilachand Honors College calendar.
