CAS’27 Mathematics & Physics

Hello! I’m Katherine Guo, a student in the class of 2027 studying the math/physics joint major. I am from New Jersey (like a billion other BU students, for some reason).

Being in KHC has made me feel inspired to do things and curious about subjects I would never have considered otherwise. I still remember the special first-year seminars: they are unlike any other class you could take, and I can’t imagine how else I could have developed an interest in urban design. KHC also hosts co-curricular events, inviting a diverse range of guests for speeches and activities, and it’s hard to not feel the energy in the air when a jazz trio is playing live.

Maybe it’s because of Kilachand that I got myself into many clubs: I’m a member of things from BU Math Association to Bug Club to Eastern European Society. I don’t mind sharing a story with the BU Arts & Literature Club, and I’m eager to sit down for a new game at Board Games Club. In my own time, I love to read and write fiction, practice the piano, or study Polish.

I hope you’ll come to love Kilachand and BU as much as I do! Feel free to reach out with anything; I’m excited to see you all!
