Kathryn Lakin

CAS’25 English

Hello! My name is Kathryn (they/them), and I’m currently a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in English and Spanish. Over the past summer, I worked with a faculty mentor on a research paper as part of UROP. I have worked at the BU Center for Humanities since my freshman year, and I encourage all aspiring humanities majors to check out their website for more information on events and opportunities for students in the humanities.

When I’m not in class or at work, I am busy editing works for the Arts & Literary Club magazine. I’m also president of the Undergraduate English Literature Association. As a lifelong musician, I am happy to say that I am continuing to make music as president of BU’s Kol Echad a cappella group. On the weekends, you can find me browsing the shelves of the Boston Public Library, eating my way through Boston’s restaurants, or walking on the Esplanade.

Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions about Kilachand or the BU experience in general!
