Financing a Public Interest Career

Working in the public sector can open up a number of programs designed to assist students working in a public interest job. Identifying these programs and learning the rules for each program is important if you want to take full advantage of them. The BU Law Financial Aid Office and the Office of Career Development and Public Service will provide an overview of the federal loan repayment options, the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, BU Law’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), and state and private sources of loan repayment assistance. Our goal is to provide you with the resources to identify the existing programs and some basics on the types of rules you will need to understand.
