Here are some tips to prepare to take advantage of the commencement-related activities coming up:

  • Check on your Terrier card. You will need your Terrier Card to do testing, to access the building on the weekend, and to participate in the in-person ceremony at Nickerson Field. If you can’t find it, please contact the Terrier Card Office as soon as possible at tco@bu.edu. There will be no charge to replace cards needed to attend commencement.
  • Get your green badge. If you want to come into the building for anything, whether it’s to clean out your locker or to take photos, you will need to be in compliance with BU’s testing and daily attestation.
    • If you are not currently listed as “on campus” for LfA purposes, you will need to change your status.*
    • Begin testing and daily attestation.
    • Don’t come into the building or other buildings on campus until you are able to show a green badge.
    • *Note: If you sign up for the commencement ceremony at Nickerson, you will automatically be switched to LfA on-campus as of May 10 in order to begin the testing cadence required to attend the in-person ceremony on May 16. This timeline will not give you enough time to participate in other on-campus activities during the week leading up to Commencement.
  • Update your Zoom the JD Class of 2021 Gala.
    • Zoom has new features that allow attendees to move between breakout rooms.
    • Your Zoom needs to be updated to use this feature. To update your Zoom, you must access your Zoom application (downloaded on your computer), and NOT your web browser access.
    • Regalia. If you would like purple ribbon to cover the crosses on the University crest on your regalia, please come to Student Affairs during business hours. If you are not coming to campus, you may request that we mail them to you by emailing studaff@bu.edu
