The Silver Shingle Award was established in 1967 to recognize distinguished graduates who contributed significantly to the legal profession, to the community and to the School of Law. These awards are presented during reunion weekend in the fall at the Annual Reunion Gala Dinner and Silver Shingle Awards Presentation.
Distinguished Service to the Profession
This award is presented to the alumna/us whose contributions within her/his profession exemplify leadership, ethics, and integrity, and whose accomplishments reflect great credit upon their profession.
Distinguished Service to the Community
This award is presented to the alumna/us who has made a significant contribution to her/his community either through a volunteer or appointed position.
Distinguished Service To The School of Law
This award is presented to the alumna/us whose participation in the affairs of the School of Law exemplifies the thoughtful concern of the graduate through continuing support of legal education at Boston University.
