Evidence for Action (E4A) Dialogue on Antimicrobial Resistance
The inaugural Evidence for Action (E4A) Dialogue on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) was hosted by Hon. Dr. Chris Fearne MP, Deputy Prime Minister of Malta, chaired by Professor Dame Sally Davies, UK Special Envoy on AMR, and moderated by Professor Kevin Outterson, Austin B. Fletcher Professor of Law at Boston University and Executive Director of CARB-X.
The objective of the conference was to identify the most pressing research questions from AMR champions in political and policy circles, and connect those questions with top-level researchers who will either point to existing data or trigger new research to fill the gaps. For this inaugural E4A Dialogue, the focus was on the most urgent research questions that can help mobilize political action to address the pipeline and access crisis of antibacterial products for human health.

Speakers
The E4A Dialogue on AMR stood out by actively engaging each participant as a speaker, harnessing the collective expertise present. Distinct from conventional conferences, our format avoided panels and protracted monologues in favor of genuine dialogue among AMR policy leaders and preeminent researchers. The focus was on dynamic interaction, primarily through roundtable discussions. Regular rotation of tables ensured a vibrant exchange of insights.
