Gun Rights and Responsibility in America
Jump To
Michael Ulrich will speak at the “Gun Rights and Responsibility in America” webinar hosted by The American Academy of Political and Social Sciences on July 20, 2023 at 2pm.
“Gun Rights and Responsibility in America”–moderated by prominent Second Amendment scholar Jacob Charles– will explore the scope of gun ownership and subsequent responsibilities in the U.S. Other panelist include Cassandra Crifasi and Kerri Raissian, who will discuss the balance between the desire among many to limit gun owner rights and the responsibilities inherent in gun ownership. They will demonstrate how, despite the characterization of the debate in the press, policies like gun storage mandates, age of purchase increases, and child access restrictions have consistently been shown to reduce gun injuries. What’s more, they enjoy overwhelming popular support among Americans of both parties.
