Computers in the Library
The law library has 22 computer terminals available across two floors:
- 3rd Floor:
- Our Computer Lab, Room 336, has 9 dual-monitor PCs, including a Bloomberg Terminal which is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This lab is open for use by the B.U. Community when not in use for an instructional session. Please check the Research Training Calendar for scheduled classes.
- 2 computer terminals near the MyPrint printers
- 2nd Floor:
- The Pappas Reading Room has 11 dual-monitor computer terminals available only to the B.U. Law Community. Current B.U. Law students, faculty, and staff will need their terrier card to swipe in and access these terminals.
Current B.U. Students, Faculty, and Staff will need to sign in with their BU username and kerberos password to use computer terminals. Alumni and pre-approved visitors looking for computer access should visit the circulation desk Monday-Friday between 11am-3pm for assistance.
Wireless Network
The BU wireless network is available throughout the Law Complex. Detailed connection instructions are available here.

MyPrint
Printing in the Law Library is available through BU’s MyPrint system. MyPrint printers are available on the 3rd floor of the library. Four of the printers are within the library and are only accessible during library hours, and two of printers, opposite Rm 336, are available whenever the building is open. The Law MyPrint help desk is located on the 5th floor in Rm 504E. The library staff cannot service the MyPrint printers so all questions should be directed to Desktop Support Services at lawhd@bu.edu, 617-358-5555, or in Suite 504 of the law tower.

Scanners
The law library has a number of scanners that are available for patron use during library hours.
Mezzanine level (located in the Garo Lounge)
- One SnapScan station with overhead scanner
2nd Floor (located in the Reserve area behind the circulation desk)
- One BookScan station with flatbed scanner
- One Zeutschel station with overhead scanner and book cradle
- One KIC station with overhead scanner
Third Floor
- One Zeutschel station with overhead scanner, book cradle, and an ADF attachment.
For assistance with any of the scanning equipment, please visit the Fineman Circulation Desk on the second floor of the law complex.
The law library’s KIC scanners allows users to scan library materials and then output directly to USB drives, save to the Cloud, or send the scanned pages directly to an email address. The automatic document feeder (ADF) can scan both single and double-sided documents.
The BookScan and Zeutschel stations from ScannX can scan materials such as books or documents to a USB drive, Google Drive, or send the scanned pages to an email address.
The SnapScan station from ScannX can scan materials such as books or documents to a USB drive.
All scanners have the ability to scan in color, grayscale, or black and white.
