Biography

Emily focuses on advising students interested in judicial clerkships and private sector employment opportunities.

Emily graduated from Harvard University, receiving her A.B. magna cum laude with highest honors in History and East Asian Studies, and received her J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, she interned at the Federal Trade Commission, on the Hill, and at the State Department. Following law school, Emily spent time in private practice, where she counseled clients in areas including privacy and data protection law, financial regulatory and anti-corruption law, and internal investigations, in addition to a variety of pro bono matters. She also served as an attorney adviser in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State and clerked for the Honorable Diana E. Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
