Biography

Meagan’s advising focuses primarily on in-house, compliance, JD advantage, and private sector careers.

Meagan has a BA in Sociology from Grinnell College and obtained her JD from Northeastern University School of Law. She attended law school with the goal of becoming a public interest attorney, completing co-ops (full-time internships) with four legal aid organizations in both Boston and New York City. She also served as Communications Coordinator for the Queer Caucus, NUSL’s LGBTQ+ student organization.

After earning her JD, Meagan joined Volunteer Lawyers Project as a Housing Staff Attorney, representing tenants in eviction matters during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Immediately prior to joining the CDO at BU Law, she spent time in the Legal Recruiting industry, helping attorneys in Boston and across the U.S. to find law firm and in-house jobs spanning a wide variety of practice areas.

Meagan is originally from St. Louis, MO and was a competitive swimmer (15 years) and water polo player (7 years) up until the end of her undergraduate studies. She enjoys singing and has participated in choirs and acapella groups for many years. Presently, Meagan sings with the Chancel Choir at the United Parish in Brookline, where she also facilitates social and spiritual opportunities for younger adults and assists with improving the church’s accessibility to people with disabilities.
