If you're a high school student interested in quantum mechanics and chemistry, come spend the morning in our labs learning about molecules and chemical reactions. Faculty and staff from the Chemistry Department will guide you through two hands-on workshops that will include:

VIRTUAL QUANTUM CHEMISTRY LAB

• Learn what determines the shape of molecules;
• Find the period in the Periodic Table.
  

SPECTROSCOPY LAB

• Learn how Chemistry can change the color of light;
• Use computerized spectrophotometry to monitor chemical reactions.
