Below is an example of our Welcome Events
Welcome Week Events
We have a great week planned for you as soon as you get here! Our Orientation is designed with events that will introduce you to your new city, while still giving you the free time to schedule meetings and interviews with your prospective internships during the day. You will have a solid footing in Los Angeles once the semester begins.
Check-In at BULA Housing (Wednesday)
Information on Check-In can be found on our Arrival and Check-In Page.
Orientation Days (Thursday & Friday)
At Orientation, we will provide you all the information you will need to know this semester, including academic procedures, housing & facilities, safety, emergency protocol, internships, and life in LA in general. Required for all students, whether living on or off-campus; do not schedule work or interviews during these times.
Script Coverage Seminar
If you’re looking to work in Film or TV Development, your most common task will be “Script Coverage,” i.e., reading a script and providing the executives with both a synopsis of the material and your opinion of it. If you’ve never worked on this before, we recommend coming to our seminar, and learning the basics of how it’s done. Writing high quality coverage can get you noticed by producers! Recommended for Film/TV students.
Young Alumni Panel
We invite recent graduates to come back to BULA and share their internship experience in Los Angeles, as well as their adventures as newly-minted young professionals in the competitive entertainment industry. Come prepared with your questions of what their time in LA has been like.
