School of Public Health
Designing a Standout Identity for SPH
Challenge
To spotlight SPH’s leadership in the field of public health education, the school needed a compelling visual identity and communications strategy to showcase the innovative teaching and research that they are doing.
Solution
Working closely with the SPH dean to understand his vision, we partnered with the SPH communications team to develop a range of marketing materials, brand identity, and strategy.
Each year, we design and edit the school’s annual publication, SPH This Year. As a centerpiece of their brand communications and a blueprint for a variety of communications throughout the year, the issue spotlights SPH’s notable research, teaching, and community events, elevating its reputation as an intellectual leader in public health.
SPH This Year features commissioned photography, which is used in the magazine and other materials, including the website, postcards, and their newsletter.
In redesigning their website, we introduced a modern, sleek interface that strategically highlights key statistics about SPH’s programs. A user-centric approach customized the homepage with integrated calls-to-action and admissions content targeted to prospective students.
Working closely with the SPH Communications team, we developed a Visual Style Guide that outlines essential principles for branding in their communications. We also designed vivid, engaging admissions brochures, email templates, and event invitations.
Our partnership with SPH has proven rewarding, reinforcing their status among peer institutions and underscoring the school’s commitment to advancing public health discourse—and also receiving multiple design awards and recognition along the way.
