Another key University tradition is the Matriculation Walk, where the entire class of incoming students walks to the Ceremony of Matriculation together.

When you move into your residence hall, make sure you get your letter from Dean Campbell-Foster. Your letter has important information, including your residence hall’s meeting point – time and location – for the walk!

Here’s a quick summary of the meeting points:

  • 610 Beacon St – You, and other members of your class living at 610 Beacon St, must be outside the back of 610 Beacon St on Bay State Road by 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Kilachand – You, and other members of your class living at Kilachand Hall, must be outside the residence by 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • 575 – You, and other members of your class living at 575 Commonwealth Avenue, must be at the intersection of Bay State Road and Deerfield Street by 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Towers – You, and other members of your class living at Towers, must outside the residence by 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Warren Towers – You, and other members of your class living at Warren Towers, must be at Marsh Plaza by 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • South – You, and other members of your class living at South Campus, must be at GSU Plaza by 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • 1019 – You, and other members of your class living at 1019 Commonwealth Avenue, must be on Babcock Street by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Claflin – You, and other members of your class living at Claflin Hall, must be on Babcock Street by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Rich – You, and other members of your class living at Rich Hall, must be on Babcock Street by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
  • Sleeper – You, and other members of your class living at Sleeper Hall, must be on Babcock Street by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
