Blackboard Support
Blackboard Learn is the learning management system at Boston University; it is used in both on and off campus courses, as well as certificate programs. An active BU account is required to access Blackboard and Blackboard Course Sites. You must login to Blackboard to view your course site.
As the Blackboard system is large and complex, knowing where to go for help can be difficult. To help with this, MET IT and MET Educational Technology & Innovation have collected some of the common questions and issues you may encounter while using Blackboard Learn. The sections below will help you navigate to the appropriate solution or contact for your issue based on the following criteria:
- Your Status
- The topic of your problem
- Your participation in a On-Campus/Blended or an Online Course

When building out your Course Site you can enter Edit Mode (upper right) to manage your site, add/remove/update content, incorporate University tools and integrations.
Student Preview lets you see the course as a student. You can even submit assignments and take tests as a student to ensure everything is functioning as intended.
