MET-VLAB Token Set-up

NOTE: The following instructions cover BU-recommended DUO Mobile. You can use other authenticator apps (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).


First Time Set Up

    1. Go to https://metvlab.cloud.com/
    2. Click on the “Don’t have a token?” link on the sign-in page.

 

3. Enter your BU email and click “Next”.

 

4. Check your BU email for an email from “Citrix Cloud”. Enter the verification code shown here in the appropriate field.

 

5. Scan the QR Code provided from Citrix from within the DUO Mobile app as shown in this video: DUO Self Enrollment

 

6. Within the DUO Mobile app, give a name to the account (Citrix Workspace, MET Virtual Lab, etc.)

 

7. Return to the main login page. Enter your BU email (include @bu.edu), BU password, and the passcode from the DUO app.


Troubleshooting

Invalid Username Password or Token:

    1. Verify that you are…
      • Entering your BU email with the @bu.edu in the username field.
      • Your BU password is correct & working. You can try logging into another service such as Student Link or webmail to confirm.
      • Ensure you are using the passcode from the “Third-Party” account and not the “Boston University” account in DUO.

 

  1. Try repeating the First Time Set Up steps with the DUO Mobile app.
  2. Try repeating the First Time Set Up steps with a different authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
