Objective Comments
Offer rigorous pedagogy in pioneering and inventive formats to reach out to diverse audience

Serious investments have been in Online Education, Blended education and other distance education technologies. Instructors are charged with developing new and innovative pedagogies. The department has regular meetings devoted to innovative pedagogy.
Deliver ‘World-Class’ knowledge-based learning opportunities to diverse student cohorts

International students take project management certificates or degrees at Boston University. The Project Management curriculum we teach is also relevant to students in other countries. We have faculty with experience in global projects that integrate relevant case studies and successfully appeal to such students.
Deepen and accelerate our capacity and engagement with remote, digital, and online technologies in teaching, research, and operations. Project Management Programs was one of the first to be offered using online technologies at a distance. We have both a significant Office of Distance Education and blended learning technologies department that put us at the forefront of educational technology. We leverage them extensively to ensure that we are using the latest and most innovative pedagogy.
Continue the ascent as a leading private research university focused on high-quality, innovative undergraduate and graduate education

Our program goal is to expose students to current research and scholarship in project management.   Graduate students are exposed to the latest research in PM via hosting practitioner and research conferences. Being selected to host the premier research conference IRNOP was possible due to this vision of the program faculty.  About two decades ago, we instigated a student driven project practitioner conference called Project Management in Practice (PMiP) which has allowed face-to-face and online students to present their research. We have also developed an Agile Innovation Laboratory which brings together students, researchers and practitioners from across the globe.
Encourage creativity at all levels of the student experience – including service to wider community The project management program encourages to students to plan and implement creative project ideas. Students are encouraged to plan and serve in community projects – for example we are a recognized Enactus chapter. The PM Club and Agile Innovation Lab also provides service.

The above program goal aligns with the overarching College Mission Goals of Technical Proficiency, Leadership and Communication, Strategic and Analytical Thinking, and Ethical and Professional Practice.
