  • Grade Level: Students entering 10th or 11th grade in fall 2024

Upward Bound Math Science is part of the federally-funded TRIO programs, whose purpose is to prepare low-income and first-generation college bound students for success in higher education in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math).  The program serves students who attend select Chelsea or Boston public schools or live in Chelsea or certain Boston neighborhoods. Upward Bound Math Science helps students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue post-secondary degrees in those subjects. Students remain in the program through high school graduation. Services include a six-week residential summer program, school vacation week science lab experiences, and after school tutoring and test preparation. The program is free.
