Research Interests:
The Werner Lab uses bottom-up soft matter synthesis, processing, and self-assembly to fabricate conitnuous functional materials that exhibit nanometric characteristic length scales. We study the fundamentals of self-assembly and phase separation processes, develop novel nano-coating paradigms using electrochemistry, and test the structure-composition-performance relationships of nanomaterials in energy and sustainability technology.
