Boston Medical Center to test workplace safety response
Boston Medical Center
September 7, 2010
Patient safety is a priority at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and maintaining a safe environment is a key part of that commitment. As part of our Emergency Preparedness plan, BMC will be conducting a workplace violence DRILL on Thursday, Sept. 16, during the evening hours. The event will take place in and around the Moakley Building which is located at 830 Harrison Avenue.
The drill will test the hospital’s response to workplace violence. In addition to BMC staff, it will involve multiple agencies, including Boston Police, Boston University Police and Boston EMS. There also will be many emergency vehicles and apparatus on campus during this time. Please do not be alarmed; their participation is vital to the success of the drill.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic in and around campus may be limited during the event. We appreciate your patience.
