NE/BI classes (except NE/BI 525): See BI section (i.e. BI 455, BI 598, etc) class comments on Student Link for directions.
CS classes: see this page for waitlist information.
NE/PS classes: Some psychology courses require permission for registration if you are not a psychology major. Permission Required will be listed in the notes section for these courses. Psychology Majors do not need to obtain permission and may register for permission required courses via the Student Link at their registration start times. Minors may register for permission required courses via the student link beginning the Monday after the freshmen registration date. If any permission required courses are still open the following Monday, students who are not psychology majors or minors will be allowed to register and should obtain information on procedures for registration by sending an email to psych@bu.edu.
MET Classes: Email the MET Office of Student Services at metoss@bu.edu with your BU ID number and the class you want to take.
All other courses: Contact the professor of the course to see if they are maintaining a waitlist.
NEURO WAITLIST PROCEDURE
- Remember to update your local address and BU Alert phone number every semester by visiting the Personal Tab, then Compliance Status on the StudentLink. We cannot add you to a class from the waitlist unless you are fully compliant with the university! If you are not in compliance, we will move on to the next person on the list.
- You may not submit waitlist requests before your registration time on StudentLink.
- You will be contacted via email when you are moved off the waitlist. We will do our best to accommodate specific section preferences and availability, but please know that we can only register you for sections with available seats.
- Additionally, you should register for a backup option. We will do everything we can to ensure that you can graduate on time. Keep in mind, once a class fills, you will not be able to add it via the StudentLink. The Link may show open seats, but those will be filled through our waitlist system.
