Assistant Director, Cognitive Neuroimaging Center Operations and Safety
Shruthi Chakrapani is the Assistant Director at the Cognitive Neuroimaging Center. She will be in charge of center operations and MRI safety at the Center. Her passion for imaging sparked when she decided to pursue higher education in the United States. Shruthi has a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University, Dayton, OH. She started her career in Boston working at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Charlestown, MA. She then worked at UCLA for 12 years managing a neuroimaging center, acquiring and analyzing neuroimaging data. She brings extensive experience in structural and functional neuroimaging, specifically in the use of Siemens MRI scanners for neuroimaging research, MRI safety and center operations.
