Danyal Bhutto is a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering. He received his BS in Bioengineering from the University of Louisville in 2018. After graduating, he joined Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and worked as an algorithm developer for a year. He is co-advised by Dr. David Boas and Dr. Matthew Rosen at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. His area of research is quantifying the uncertainty and robustness of deep learning image reconstruction techniques so that they can be translated to the industry while reconstructing diagnostically accurate medical images. His expected graduation date is the Summer of 2024, after which he plans to pursue PostDoc opportunities at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. During his career, he hopes to partner closely with industry leaders to create the next generation of medical imaging modalities through the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence.
