Jad Noueihed (White lab) graduated from the American University of Beirut with a B.E. in electrical and computer engineering and an M.S. from the Technical University of Munich in Communication systems engineering. He became involved in neurophotonics in Dr. John White’s lab while conducting visually-guided patch-clamping experiments to study theta rhythm generation. For his dissertation, Jad is studying the dynamics of excitation and inhibition in the cortex using two-photon microscopy and electrophysiology. He expects to graduate in 2021.
