Dr. Regina Sloutsky is a research physical therapist and second year Rehabilitation Sciences PhD student at Boston University in theNeuromotor Recovery Laboratory, under the mentorship of Dr. Louis Awad (expected graduation 2024). She received her B.S. in Health Studies in 2008 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2011 from Boston University. After several years of clinical practice working across the healthcare spectrum in various settings, she returned to Boston University as a research PT and provided clinical support across several projects focusing on gait rehabilitation for people post-stroke. Her research and clinical backgrounds have been instrumental to shaping her current work, as she is leading a project to examine the effects of a soft wearable robotic exosuit on cortical activity in people post-stroke through the use of functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).
