Sudiksha Sridhar (Han Lab) graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar with a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, followed by an M.S.E from University of Pennsylvania in Chemical Engineering. She became interested in neurophotonics while working at the Penn Center of Innovation and in the Penn I corps where she was exposed to commercializing or patenting technologies and inventions in the field. At Boston University, she became involved in neurophotonics starting with rotations in Boas Lab and Han Lab. For doctoral research, she is doing computational analysis of imaging data in Professor Xue Han’s Lab. For her dissertation, she is focusing on using calcium and voltage imaging to study the effects of stimulation on neural activity and to understand the mechanism behind deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease. She expects to graduate 2023.
