Dana Shaw is a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Program for Neuroscience on the Computational track. She received her B.S. in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University in 2020. She joined BU as a graduate student immediately following her undergraduate degree where she is currently co-advised by Dr. Xue Han and Dr. Mark Kramer. Her research interests focus on using optical imaging techniques in mouse models to better understand the cellular and network mechanisms underlying electrographic epileptic biomarkers observed in human patients. After graduation, she would like to pursue a career integrating neuroscience and computer science in addition to translational pursuits with the goal of helping those with disabilities and disorders.
