Nishaat Mukadam is pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on neuropsychology at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at BU. She is a part of the Vision and Cognition Lab where she works under the mentorship of Dr. Alice Cronin-Golomb. She is interested in understanding cognitive functioning in healthy aging and in neurodegenerative conditions and aims is to improve the lives and functioning of people with cognitive dysfunction. Her current research involves using fNIRS to investigate the neural correlates of subjective executive function decline and cognitive reserve in healthy older adults and in people with Parkinson’s disease. Nishaat received her BA in Psychology from Jai Hind College (India), her MA in Clinical Psychology from Mumbai University (India) and her MA in Psychology from Brandeis University.
