Personal Interests

When I’m not teaching or doing research, I like to train for triathlons. I’ve completed all distances including four half-ironman races and one full ironman race. I also enjoy painting, traveling, and singing.

In addition, I also just released a 24-lecture video series on Wondrium (formerly called Great Lectures) entitled Understanding Brain Disorders.

Current Research

I conduct research examining the visual and cognitive deficits associated with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease and how these deficits relate to everyday function.
