Research Interests:

My research interests include sex differences in aging populations and how reproductive factors unique to women may be related to higher rates of AD and dementia in women.

Current Projects:

Under the co-mentorship of Dr. Yakeel Quiroz at Massachusetts General Hospital, I plan to work on projects including longitudinal studies such as the Boston Latino Aging Study (BLAST) and Harvard Aging Brain Study (HABS), which aim to identify the cognitive and brain imaging changes that may indicate risk for Alzheimer’s disease.

Relevant Experience:

While completing my Master of Science at the , I conducted research on the effectiveness of different neuropsychological tests in the accuracy of diagnosis for children with ADHD. Prior to coming to BU, I worked at the University of California San Diego on a project that focused on the structural and functional brain changes of women undergoing estrogen suppression therapy as part of treatment for endometriosis. Specifically, we used fMRI and neuropsychological tests to measure these changes across time.

Hobbies and Interests:

I enjoy cooking and knitting and hanging out with my dog, Robbie.
