Two International First-Gen Graduate Students Create the BU International Graduate Student Guide

From left: Two first-generation graduate students, Abel and Yuandi Tang (COM’23), in collaboration with a Ph.D. student Gizem Kaftan (GRS’24), wrote and published BU International Graduate Student Guide. It covers a range of practical issues, from what you need to know about electrical outlets to applying for a BU ID and tips for finding a job postgraduation with employer sponsorship. Multiple BU centers and colleges, such as Educational Resource Center, Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and Center for Career Development provided support and helped with proofreading and fact-checking.
