While not a first generation undergrad, I suffered family loss and trauma that affected my experience applying for, transitioning to, and accessing services as an undergraduate student. I’m interested in the intersections of our shared human experiences, particularly the intersections of those from atypical or marginalized backgrounds, I hope to use the knowledge and insight I’ve gained from own embodied struggles to support and advocate for to first-generation undergrads and grads.
