Christa Rose

Research Fellow

I am a Terrier F1rsts Advocate because I realized how important intergenerational support is while I was a first-gen & low-income student at BU. I welcome first-gen students to connect with me for support with research, networking, navigating higher ed, especially as a student activist, & connecting with LGBTQ+ resources & community.

  • Personal Facts/ Hobbies/ Interests: I’m super passionate about intersectional social justice advocacy work & spent a lot of time doing this work as a student at BU. I’m the former President of the Queer Activist Collective (’19-’22), a student organization dedicated to supporting BU’s LGBTQ+ community. During this time, I helped launch numerous initiatives like the Out List, Lavender Graduation, BU Pride, the Gender-Affirming Product Program, Gender-Neutral Housing for first-year students, & more! In my personal time, I love to take care of plants, play guitar, go to concerts, learn about (non-whitewashed) queer history, & spend time with my 1-year-old nibling :)
