Jessica Chicka
University Chaplain for International Students
I want to help first generation students be able to thrive and flourish at BU. As someone who has a Ph.D. but isn’t a professor, I feel I can help students navigate some of the challenges that come along with the academic rigors of study at BU while also having some perspectives outside of just academics.
I’m also a good listener and can help students think through some of the bigger existential questions they might encounter during their time at BU as a chaplain. Many international students are also first generation students, and I want to be a resource for them through the Newbury Center.
