Jean is an Instructional Designer at Boston University Virtual. She works with a team that supports both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Before joining BU, Jean worked as a certified public high school science teacher in RI and taught science and math at Columbia College Chicago. She completed a MicroMasters Certificate in Instructional Design and has been combining her passion for curriculum design and instruction with creating high-impact educational materials. Jean’s instructional philosophy is to empower learners to direct their learning experience and give them the tools to move beyond their comfort zones and seek new challenges.

In addition to her work in education, Jean also has a background in film and video production and produced a film that premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival. When she isn’t working, she enjoys rock climbing, swimming, hiking, and traveling with her family.
