Chris Norton

Chris Norton is a Senior Instructional Designer in the Office of Distance Education (ODE). He earned his M.Ed. in Instructional Design from UMass Boston and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Chris joined ODE in 2017 and focuses on graduate degree programs in the areas of Computer Science, Law, and General Medical Studies as well as courses in the Undergraduate Degree Completion Program. He enjoys collaborating with Faculty and a team of Student Support Administrators and Media Producers to design, build, and maintain engaging learning experiences and communities that promote individual growth and group development.

Prior to joining the BU community Chris worked as an Editorial Project Manager and Instructional Designer with major educational publishers such as Pearson, Houghton Mifflin, Microsoft Learning and managed a variety of textbook, course development, and digital learning projects.

Chris lives in Salem, MA with his wife and two golden doodles and enjoys spending winter weekends in the mountains and summers on the coast.
