Tuition and Financial Aid

Estimation of Costs

Annual estimated tuition for Boston University Graduate Medical Science students in 2025-2026 is $69,670 for a 9-month, 2-semester academic year.  Matriculating first year PA students are granted a scholarship, resulting in a discounted tuition of $48,170 per 12 month academic year starting in August 2025.  First year PA students will carry a full-time fall and spring semester course load, and a part-time summer course load. There is no tuition difference for in-state and out-of-state residents.

Upon notification of acceptance, prospective PA students are required to pay a program deposit of $550. Immunizations required by the program prior to matriculation are not included in the budget estimates below and the cost will vary depending on where you obtain the vaccines (range $0-$600.00). Additional first, second, and third year program costs include medical instruments, books, student health fees, health insurance.  Personal expenses, rent, and transportation costs can vary greatly based on personal preferences and are not included below, but are factored into your financial aid.
