Adil Najam Delivers Keynote on Leadership for Sustainable Development

Prof. Adil Najam, the Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, was invited to give the keynote address at a 3-day international conference on Leadership for Sustainable Development organized by LEAD-Pakistan with support from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network.

Prof. Najam spoke about the importance of local leadership in the context of sustainable development and the emerging challenges of climate change, and with particular emphasis on the challenges faced by Pakistan and other developing countries. The conference attracted leading experts, policy-makers and scholars on the subject and was innovatively organized to create open spaces for people to learn, adopt and explore issues of sustainability by harnessing knowledge and resources and committing to design and deliver high impact actions.

At the conference, Prof. Adil Najam also headlined along with other leading experts in a major media dialogue on the same subject.
