Janetos, Delina to Guest Edit Special Journal Issue on ‘Energy and the Future’
Anthony Janetos, the Director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, and post-doctoral associate Laurence Delina will guest edit a special issue of Energy Research & Social Science (ERSS) on ‘Energy and the Future’ to be published in October 2017.
The special issue seeks a collection of interdisciplinary papers that explore the multiple plausible energy futures, as well as the future synergies, trade-offs, and tensions between issues of energy, environment, the economy, and more. Specifically, the issue will focus on five themes or areas of interest: future energy transitions; visions or discourses of “energy and the future”; energy modeling and the future; future governance of energy; and ways of thinking about the future of energy.
Following paper selection, some authors may be invited to present their manuscripts at a writing workshop held at the Pardee Center in April 2017. Proposals, including a 500-word abstract and a short biography, should be emailed to Laurence Delina (ldelina@bu.edu) by January 1, 2017. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by February 1, 2017, and full papers are due on March 1, 2017. For more details, click here.
